Don’t you know there’s part of me that longs to go into the unknown?

What are your thoughts on the Cullen kids trying their absolute darndest to blend in and make friends with humans, but as hard as they try, the humans still ostracize them, resulting in the reclusive Cullens Bella sees in Twilight.

Imagine. The Cullens Bella sees aren’t being reclusive or keeping to themselves — they’re sulking because nobody wants to be their friend. lololol

Like, they know they can’t really be friends with anyone and they only need to blend in, but it still hurts.

Emmett tried being one of the bros, but his enthusiasm came off supernaturally terrifying. He’d do something that’s too much and then bound up for a high five wearing a giant grin, unaware they all want to run. Behind them, Edward is just like 👍

Alice tried critiquing everyone’s style to be ‘helpful’ but, as Rosalie mentioned, it’s almost like people don’t want to hear what’s ugly about them.

Jasper, in his mental struggle to seem human while not wanting to eat one, would stare at his desk mate way too long, then randomly stick out his hand for a handshake and be like I’m JaSpEr HaLe🥸, too loud. Meanwhile the human had already scoot their chair to the other side of the classroom.

It’s way more fun to think they try so hard to mingle, but fail.

Edward tried to geek out about music or history or baseball with a few groups of kids, but continuously corrected them until it became intolerable to talk to him.

Rosalie tried to join the robotics club but tolerated the boys mansplaining things to her for a fraction of a second before she roasted every member to a crisp and wasn’t allowed back until she could be a “team player”
